Key Features

Garden Village Port Macquarie (GVPM) own and operate a 142-bed aged care service and 290 independent living units in Port Macquarie, NSW. As part of its asset renewal program, GVPM flagged 24 existing apartments to be demolished and renewed with 35 independent living units, plus a new Wellness Centre which offers residents a variety of medical and remedial treatment options ‘on site’. 

The project scope consisted of demolition of existing buildings and replacement with 35 new one- and two-bedroom apartments, constructed over three levels. A new basement car park was incorporated into the development, plus extensive infrastructure upgrades in order to facilitate the new building. 

The project was delivered over 36 months utilising an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and AS 4902 Design and Construct framework.
